1 Following Catholic theology, Mary did not die but was bodily assumed into heaven. 2 Erebrus is a god from Greek mythology associated with darkness. He was born from Chaos and is sometimes a synonym for part of the Underworld. 3 Literally ‘law,’ but translated as ‘faith’ here, following later uses in Catholic Latin writing.
